See the World

Don’t be afraid to explore, you never know what you could find. Life is boring if we always stay out and shrink up at the chance to experience a life changing adventure. Be courageous and get out of your comoft zone.

Into the Black to Reach Your Dreams

Sometimes, we have to stay in the dark to reach the light. In light there is darkness and in darkness there is light. Even if your life is in the negative, break it down and see the postive side. Don’t be too hard on yourself, take it a step at a time. My little cousin told me this when I was shooting baskets with him.

The story of this photo is your journey may be long, but it will be so worth it when you reach your goal. Keep going, never let your dreams get out of sight. If you can’t see the light then find a wall and let it guide you as you continue to walk in the right way.

Shadow of the Memory

Leaving a place for the final time after you spent so many years going there is a bit overwhelming. I have many memories here and I hope to have more before the end of the year. No matter where I go there, I always see flashes of memories of pain, one sided friendship, and growth.

Exploring Architecture

Went around campus, looking for new and old subjects. I captured without holding myself back. I indulged my creative impulses and took every shot that I wanted to. I am working hard on applying the principles of photography as well as how to break them to make better shots.

Visual with depth

I never aspire to create something that’s just visually interesting. I don’t create to make things like Avatar. My work has depth but each photo has different meanings to different people.

One must look inside

To realize

What they are always had

Is more than what they sought

Forget asking outside

Look to inside of yourself

You have the solution

Just ponder for a while

And you shall overcome any trial

Just Create

As I explored the depths of my mind to make a decision that will impact my present and future. I took the time to take photos that I like. In doing so I was able to calm myself which helped me think. I proclaimed to myself that I wanted to take photos and write about them plus many other things.

I have many creative outlets from my passion of writing like poetry, scriptwriting, research papers, blogging, etc. I love it and I get so focused on seeking validation from others when I simply just need to create. I am changing my work ethic to improve my artwork but also to improve the time of time I actually create.

In the mornings, I am focused on light exercise and writing. I do photography for a while then back to writing. I run several blogs including this one, I update this one at random times, I update another twice a week, and one everyday. I need to be more organized and produce better and more frequently to ever to improve and to make my passions a career.

This shot respersents the steps I must take and have each pillar has a shadow that I must overcome. I may take longer than other people but this is my path and I just need to worry about what I am doing. Once I am further down my path it will be more colorful despite how neutral it may look now.

Just focusing on move at a time,

David

Revaluation of self

Returned to a previous subject but this time I captured it up close and install different angle. I enjoy this shot as the building really stands out to me. I love the atmosphere it’s a big calming to me.

Been studying my work more and more as well as shooting away with my camera. Trying to see in what ways I could approve and realized how to do just that. This shot was an experiment to see one way I could improve which is catch more dynamic shots of architecture to avoid a flat look.

Working very hard to understand myself and my work is a reflection of that. Taking a step forward to a better self and a better future. I am keeping my head down and focusing on my work as I explore the world and myself.

Never stop growing,

David

Reflection of self

You truly need to be in touch with yourself in order to be the greatest version of yourself. But you often explore who you are through your craft. Thus we are always striving to find ourselves.

We tend to have a firm grip on who who we are fundamentally but there is always much more to learn. So never stop learning.

This photo is of the Winn center at Cosumnes River college on a rainy day. Taken with my Galaxy sometime during the morning before the puddles dried up.
