Rising of a Photographer

Love getting up early in the morning. The air feels wonderful and there are more opportunties to explore without much distraction. I caught these while waiting to play tennis,  I found myself playing with various angles for various subjects. I always wanted to capture a tennis net and this time I did a good job. I’m always daring to explore and experiment without holding myself back. My mission was to capture the sun through various objects like the tennis net and a fence.

I am doing my best to get up earlier and to go explore as well as walk for my health. It’s not too hard since there are so many good things that come out once I wake up before the sun. I just have to remind myself of that when I try to sleep in.
Have a great day,

David

Shadows of Doubt

Will it go in or will she commit another fault? The shadows hide her face as she ponders this. Caught the ball as she was bouncing it. I felt like this shot would be better in black and white to convey doubt. The other players face is too far away, but he ponders the same question. I believe you need to breathe and simply focus on the task at hand. Forget the last shot and keep going.

Pose of Victory

A tennis player showcases how he slices the ball. When it does it, it’s a pain to hit because you have to guess how the ball will land. We took a tennis class together, so I was able to see his grow from the beginning. I may edit this photo, I’m still experimenting since I want to improve as an artist in general. I’m still new to action photography, but whenever I am not playing I am capturing my friends playing.

Game of Life

Someone loses and another win. That’s life but you cant lose all the time. Eventually, you’ll get the W. Just keep your head up and keep going all out until you left everything on the court, field, gym, etc. Then if you lose you’ll still be proud that you gave it your all.

Try and try again, do it a thousand times if you have to.

Smile,

David

Don’t defeat yourself

Don’t allow yourself to quit. Sometimes all we need is a moment to breathe and calm down. Close your eyes and allow yourself that moment. When we get too angry or frustrated we end up making it worse. We have to forget and move on.

Dwelling on mistakes will just cause more. The more you try to be perfect the more you will fail. Don’t get down and simply be the best you can be.

This shot was taken at Cosumnes river college with members of the unofficial tennis club. One player was simply making too many mistakes that was costing him the game. I simply sought out to capture his mood.

Outwill yourself,

David

Spending hours and hours on what you love

We get notice for the things we show in the light that we worked for years on in the dark. If you have a passion you need to spend years crafting that passion. If you play basketball, you have to be shooting, dribbling the ball everyday and playing in games. If you are a photographer you have to spend hours taking photos, editing photos, and studying photos. It takes a thousand shots to get your form right in both basketball and photography.

Don’t let your passion die out to do life. Get what you need and work on it every single day. You have to be obsessed with it to truly succeed.

This is a tennis wall which you can practice your technique to train. Its a great way to practice before a match. Taken with my Cybershot at 9:30 am or just about.

Stay passionate,

David

Shadows on the court

Nothing like some good tennis to get your day started. I was able to take a few shows before getting some practice in. I love experimenting with shadows and lines. I wanted to show that you want the ball to be on the other side of the court. You always aim above the net not at it. Meaning you must set hug goals for yourself and an even higher one.
You can win a point after a long volley, an excellent ace, or even a smash. Whatever it takes score all the points you need to capture the win aka your dreams. Never give up and never give in.

You can do it!

David
