I shot I took of my friend between poses, I will go back and crop out the end of his sunglasses. It’s a shot that hides his face but shows a natural expression. The sun was striking his face pretty hard and thus we moved on to different poses. Not my best shot, maybe it would have been nice to shoot him from a lower angle. Now that I think about it, I believe that would have been the correct move.

One notion that I’ve learned from various trips and photography books that I read is to have an open mind when it comes to portraits. Get what you want sure but be open to ideas and don’t strive for that one perfect image in your head as you may miss the better photos in your desire for perfection. Working hard to learn more about photography and improve my skills. I’ve been practicing portraits using myself as a model thanks to a remote shutter. It’s going alright but I am steadily improving the more photos I take.

One of my biggest weakest is light so I’ll be watching a few seminars on light in photography and trying to find good YouTube videos and books to learn more.

That’s it from me for now, enjoy yourselves and capture something nice.
